I also tried installing the printer by name (it doesn't show up on the detected list), and generally get an error that the server printer spooler service has stopped (it hasn't), although I sometimes just get a generic can't connect type of error. I just install vista ultimate 32-bit on my laptop with geforce nvidia go 6600, 1733mhz pentium M, 2gb ram. Specifically I need to use the shared network printer. I have spent many hours trying to get it connected to my home network with no succcess. I bought a new HP slimline pavillion with Vista Home Premium pre-installed for my daughter. ![]()
